As a church family, we began 2024 with 7 days of fasting and prayer. Each day we focused our prayers on a different component of a strong, healthy, balanced Church, asking God for these things to be poured out in our hearts and in our church family more and more.

As we outlined what those topical umbrellas were that we focused each days’ prayers toward, we recognized that much of what we discussed were the same things covered in Richard Foster’s book, Celebration of Discipline: The Path to Spiritual Growth. So…we decided to capitalize on the momentum of what God is doing amongst us and begin a corporate study soon after the prayer and fasting in order to do a deeper dive into some of those disciplines, and really allow the Holy Spirit the time and our focus and attention to develop each one within us.

WEEKLY READINGS

Weekly readings will begin on Monday of each week and will follow along with the chapters in the book.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

• Daily interactions and communications via the Facebook group.

• Weekly video and/or written devotionals from Ashford leaders and intercessors via email newsletter.

• Monthly in-person meetups for face-to-face discussions and devotionals (at the end of each of the 3 sections). Dates will be sent out later…be sure you are on the email list to receive updates. Email dawn@ashfordcc.com to be on the list and be sure you join the Facebook Group.

• We kick off on Monday, February 5th and wrap up on Sunday, April 28th!
